The Hammer Black Widow Pink Pearl Urethane combines the iconic asymmetrical Gas Mask core with a pearl urethane coverstock. Released on February 25, 2022, it is designed for medium oil conditions and provides a stronger, more continuous arcing motion with more flare than traditional urethane options like the Purple Hammer.
Core & Technical Specifications
  • Core: Gas Mask (Asymmetrical)
  • Coverstock: Urethane Pearl
  • Factory Finish: 360, 800 Siaair Micro Pad
  • Radius of Gyration (RG): 2.500 (for a 15 lb ball)
  • Differential: 0.058 (for a 15 lb ball)
  • Intermediate Differential: 0.016
    • Performance & On-Lane Reaction
  • Hook Potential: Higher hook and stronger early roll downlane compared to lower-differential urethane balls.
  • Motion Shape: Delivers a strong, continuous arcing reaction that handles heavier volumes than traditional urethane while offering predictable control on medium patterns.
  • Comparison: Reviewers note it is rollier and smoother overall than reactive resin, but starts up much quicker and creates more track flare than the Purple Hammer due to the heavy-duty Gas Mask core.
